How to prepare for a medical sales interview

A gold medal isn’t won on the ice.

It’s won in the quiet hours no one sees.

Most people watch Olympic curling and think:

“𝑺𝒍𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆. 𝑺𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒄𝒆. 𝑯𝒐𝒑𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔.”

But the athletes standing on the podium didn’t hope.

They prepared.

Breaking into medical sales is not different.

A job offer isn’t won on accident.

It’s won through preparation and disciplined execution.

Three similarities between curling and landing the offer:

1. Precision matters.

One weak answer.

One unclear story.

One missed close.

2. Sweeping changes the outcome.

In curling, the team adjusts the stone’s path in real time.

In interviews, mentorship, coaching, and feedback adjust yours.

3. The podium is earned long before the spotlight.

Top candidates refine.

Study the company.

Build a 30-60-90 plan.

Everyone wants the medal.

Very few train like champions.

Be honest with yourself:

Are you preparing like someone who expects to win or someone who hopes to get lucky?

If you’re serious about standing on the podium, start thinking like a gold medalist.
