Entry level pharmaceutical sales job

I lost my Pharma Sales job during a 15 minute conference call.
No warning.
No second chance.
No performance issue.
Just like that… I was unemployed.
When Galderma acquired CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals, our entire commercial team was laid off.
I remember that Friday afternoon thinking the same thing most people do after a layoff…
“Now what?”
I had bills to pay.
A family depending on me.
Looking back…
I spent a little while feeling sorry for myself.
I was angry.
Scared.
Uncertain.
Then one realization changed my mindset.
↳ Nobody was coming to save me.
Not a recruiter.
Not my mom.
Not my accountant.
No one owed me another opportunity.
Because the moment I accepted full ownership, I got my power back.
I started making calls.
Building a target list.
Learning new skills.
Creating opportunities instead of waiting for one to appear.
Three lessons I’ll never forget:
➨ Waiting creates resentment.
➨ Ownership creates momentum.
➨ Blaming others never changes your future.
Sometimes life knocks you into the valley.
Stay there long enough to catch your breath…
↳ Then climb out.
Because you owe yourself the effort to create one.
If you’ve ever been laid off, what was the first emotion you felt?
