I’ve noticed more Med Rep Career Coaches on LinkedIn in 2024.
That’s a good thing because:
✔️ Improves candidate quality.
✔️ Elevates coaching standards.
✔️ Increases access into the industry.
Recently, my buddy asked, "Do you think everyone needs a coach?"
Long answer ⇢ NO.
𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝟖 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡.
⭕️ You dislike investing in the # 1 asset in the world ⇢ YOURSELF.
⭕️ You detest lifelong benefits that come from acquiring skills.
⭕️ You think “winging it” is a winning interview strategy.
⭕️ You believe LinkedIn job applications are enough.
⭕️ You see coaching as a cost, not an investment.
⭕️ You assume your resume speaks for itself.
⭕️ You’re allergic to feedback.
⭕️ You prefer trial-and-error.
If you believe any of these, you should NOT get a coach.
What else would you add?
P.S. I believe the opposite is true, which is why I’ve been investing in myself since 2008.
Happy New Year to all the career coaches ⇢ CHEERS 🥂
