Pharmacetuical Sales Interviews

I knew in the 7 minutes she wasn’t getting the job.

Not because she lacked experience.

Not because her resume was weak.

Because I asked her to

↓↓↓

“Walk me through your resume.”

She talked for seven minutes.

No structure.

No point.

No ending.

Just words.

From my vantage point…

Here’s what I heard instead of confidence:

✦ “I don’t know what matters.”

✦ “I haven’t practiced this.”

✦ “I can’t sell my own story.”

At minute 3, I stopped listening.

At minute 5, I closed my notebook.

At minute 7, the interview was over.

During a Pharmaceutical Sales interview ⤵

I’m not asking for your life story.

I’m testing your judgment.

➨ Can you identify what’s relevant?

➨ Can you communicate under pressure?

➨ Can you lead me instead of drowning me?

Rambling doesn’t mean you’re unqualified.

It tells me that’s how you’ll talk to customers.

The interview isn’t about saying more.

It’s about saying the right thing.

Question for you ⤵

What’s one piece of feedback that stung but made you better?
